As the strategic partner at PhzMe, I worked closely with the founder to define and articulate a compelling vision for the company. This included refining the core offerings to align with market needs and crafting a strategic framework—our "Now, Next, Later" plan—that allowed the creative and development teams to prioritize initiatives effectively. By setting clear goals, we ensured the team remained focused on high-impact areas, driving the startup forward.

Leadership Across Multiple Domains

In a fast-paced startup environment, I took on multiple roles across product management, business development, and team leadership. I was responsible for:

  • Product Management: Overseeing product development from ideation to execution, ensuring alignment with our vision and market demands.
  • Business Development: Building and nurturing key business relationships to open doors for collaboration and growth opportunities.
  • Team Development: Leading the recruitment and growth of the leadership team, cultivating a culture of innovation and agility that could scale with the company.

Investor Engagement and Financial Strategy

A crucial part of our early success was securing investment to fuel our growth. I developed and delivered the pitch deck and investor script, leading the charge in our initial investment round, which kicked off with friends and family. This phase was pivotal in setting the foundation for our long-term financial strategy.

I also worked closely with the leadership team on the following:

  • Investment Strategy: Created a roadmap for future investment rounds, focusing on the strategic timing and positioning to attract larger investors.
  • Resource Management: Managed resource allocation to maximize operational efficiency, reducing the company’s burn rate while maintaining momentum.

Building Market Presence and Gathering Insights

A key aspect of growing Phzme was creating buzz around our marketplace and engaging directly with our target audience. To achieve this, we participated in two high-profile events designed to build awareness, generate excitement, and establish a potential user base.
